How to keep the color and quality of black masterbatch?

 Several factors affecting the quality of black masterbatch

Plastic black masterbatch is produced with carbon black. The factors that determine the quality of plastic black masterbatch are analyzed as follows:
A. Temperature change:
Because different materials are subject to different temperatures, for example, PC plastic particles can reach a temperature of 260 to 320 degrees, so high temperature will not affect their production quality and color. On the contrary, ABS plastic raw materials can only withstand a temperature of less than 200 degrees. If the production temperature is increased, ABS plastic raw materials will be burned and will greatly affect the color, quality, hardness and function of the product itself.
B. Stability:
In today's international economy, it is necessary for international customers to have high requirements on the quality of masterbatch and the stability of raw meal, which is also the fifth factor determining the quality of black masterbatch. One of the main performances of the stability is the stable carbon black ratio. If the percentage of carbon black is fluctuant, the number of masterbatches to be melted is different, and it is impossible to produce products of the same color tone;
C. Dispersion:
Raw carbon black is a very difficult and dirty mixture. It's dusty, light and fluffy. Unless large-scale treatment measures are adopted, it will contaminate the machines and workers and make the working environment dirty
D. Rheology:
If a masterbatch itself has good dispersion, but it can not flow into the material to be molded, the production effect is not ideal. Generally speaking, the base resin used to produce masterbatch has high rheological property. In order to save cost, some color masterbatch producers use reusable materials, wastes or recycled materials as resin carriers;
E. Color shade:
There are various types of carbon black on the market that can be used to color masterbatch, but different colors and prices are also very different. Large particle carbon black has lower coloration and different background colors than small particle carbon black. Large black masterbatch is suitable for the production of films such as garbage bags, but not for the production of products that focus on aesthetics, such as TV signs or places that do not need ultraviolet rays, such as agricultural films or external pipes.
F. Coverage:
This factor is particularly important for masterbatches used in waste or recycled polymers, where the role of black is to cover other colors in the waste. The color ability of large particle carbon black is poor, and it is not easy to cover all other colors in the lower layer. As a result, the product only gets the deviated color. In the melting process, the ability to correctly select the carbon black with high coloring ability to cover the existing color is the so-called covering power
G. Raw material quality:
If the color masterbatch is a plastic raw material containing impurities, it is likely that the product will change color in the production process, or it will turn yellow because the impurities can not bear the temperature of the plastic itself, so it will be burned in the production process, causing yellowing and black spots of the product. Therefore, we should store our plastic materials well. Try to keep it in a dry place. There are no impurities.
